Morrisons Freeze Price of Petrol & Diesel for 1 Week

by from money.co.uk, 2 years agoThis deal has expired

The supermarket chain will not pass on the 2p hike in fuel duty to its customers until 6th September.

What's the deal?

Supermarket chain Morrisons have announced that they will absorb the 2p increase in fuel duty (2.3p including VAT) for their customers, freezing prices for the next week.

So, if you live near a Morrisons and need to fill up your tank in the near future you're better off doing it sooner rather than later.

Morrisons are currently charging 103.7p per litre for unleaded petrol and 103.9p for diesel.

How do I benefit?

Prices will automatically be held at Morrisons petrol stations while the 2.3p (inclusive of VAT) fuel duty increase will be passed on immediately by other petrol stations.

Expiry

This is a very short term offer as Morrisons have only pledged to hold prices until Sunday 6th September, 2009.  After this the fuel duty increase will be passed on to customers in the cost of petrol and diesel.
