Every November Will Aid gives you the chance to have a basic will professionally drawn up by a solicitor, free of charge.
This November, 1,100 solicitors are taking part in the scheme across the UK.
In return for taking part in the scheme you're asked to make a voluntary donation of £85 (£125 for a couple) to Will Aid, which will be split between several charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save The Children UK, Trocaire, and SCIAF, Sight Savers International.
You can also get your will registered on the Certainty National Wills Register for free, which usually costs £30.
To get your free will, enter your postcode on the Will Aid site to find your nearest participating solicitor.
Make an appointment to visit your solicitor in November, and remember to mention the Will Aid scheme.
Your solicitor will then waive their usual fee and invite you to you to make a donation to Will Aid of £85 (or £125 for couples), though this isn't compulsory and you can give as much or as little as you like.
From 1st November, you can then register your will for free on the Certainty National Wills Register with the promotion code willaid2011. Getting your will registered means that details of your will can easily be made available to your beneficiaries.
Will Aid runs throughout November, so make an appointment to see your solicitor by 30th November, 2011, to take advantage of the offer.
Solicitors participating in the scheme will draw up a basic will only - separate charges may apply for more complex work.
Will Aid appointments and free Certainty National Wills Register registration is only available from 1st-30th November, 2011.
