Low-income families can now apply for a Home Access grant and get free computers and internet access.
What's the deal?
If you are a low-income family then under the government's Home Access scheme, you could qualify for a grant to buy a computer and pay for a minimum of 12 month's internet access.
Depending on what you need, the Home Access grant will let you buy one of the following packages:
- Full package (computer, 12 month's internet access, service and support).
- A computer with service and support only.
- 12 month's internet access only.
How do I benefit?
If you are a parent and think you are eligible then call 0333 200 1004 for an application form.
You may be eligible for a Home Access grant if:
- You are a parent/guardian living with a child who is in school years 3 to 9.
- You receive free school meals for your child, income support or Jobseeker's Allowance.
