Superdrug Cut the Cost of High Factor Sun Cream

by , 1 year agoThis deal has expired

Superdrug have announced that they intend to charge a flat fee for their sunscreen across all factors on individual brands.

What's the deal?

You may not have noticed it, but High Street stores have a policy of charging more for sunscreens that offer the highest level of protection.

Now we’re all aware of the dangers that prolonged exposure to sun can cause – especially for children – yet the current pricing policy of high street stores could force many of us go for a cheaper sunscreen that offers us less protection.

Superdrug have recently announced that there is no good reason as to why the higher factor sunscreens should actually cost more. Because of this they have decided to introduce a flat rate for all leading brands regardless of their level of protection.

This means that a £16.99 bottle of Piz Brun Spray Allergy SPF50 will now be sold by Superdrug at the same £14.97 price as a bottle of the SPF15 equivalent – resulting in a saving for us of around £2.

Needless to say this initiative has been welcomed by both dermatologists and consumer groups alike.

Just as welcome for the likes of you and me is Superdrug’s current 2 for 1 offer on all sun care.
