Free Cinema Tickets with Esso Movies Promotion

Fill up your tank at your nearest Esso garage and you could be taking a free trip to the cinema.

What's the deal?

You can get a free cinema ticket every time you fill up your petrol tank 3 times at your nearest Esso garage.

Over 340 cinemas are participating in the offer, including Vue, Cineworld, Odeon, Empire and Showcase cinemas nationwide.

How do I benefit?

To get your free cinema ticket you will need to spend £30 or more at a participating Esso service station three times by the 29th February.

Each time you spend over £30 you'll be given a free cinema token. If you spend over £60 then you'll be given two tokens, making it even easier to get your free cinema ticket.

Once you have 3 tokens, you can visit the Esso website, enter your voucher details, pick your cinema and wait for your free cinema voucher to arrive by post.

Alternatively you can post your 3 tokens, with your original till receipts and contact details (including your home address & email address) to:

Esso Cinema Promotion, Department 11482, PO BOX 999 Tring, Herts, HP23 4ZP

You will then receive your cinema voucher within 5 working days.

Expiry

This offer ends on 29th February, 2012.

Conditions

Cinema ticket vouchers can be used up until 31st March, 2013.

Each cinema ticket voucher will be valid for a standard price ticket, you may have to pay an additional charge for premium seating, 3D film screenings or IMAX screenings.

my esso did not have any of the wallets to put my vouchers in, can anyone tell me where i have to send them to?

i sent off my vouchers must have be a month back and heard nothing i sent 2 lots.i asked a member of staf how long they shold take she said a women had hear of them but it did take about 4 weeks and she had an email ? .i checked my email address still nothing.

I sent off my vouchers and proof of purchase 6 weeks ago and still have no tickets, The help line does not work, i have now left several messages and emails and still not responce from Esso. I now think it one big con to get e=you to spend money. I spend over £80 per week with esso so will; now be using another company. Esso, do the right thing and contact me.. DO NOT USE ESSO...

yes we have also sent reciepts enough for 4 tickets and so far only got code for 1ticket on phoning [on premium number ]enough to maybe pay for cinema ticket i was told my receipts had maybe got separeted and was given a email address that does not work SO GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE THAT RECIEVES THERES!!!!!!!!

Have collected 6 cinema vouchers and 3 till receipts each for £60 plus and sent to correct address over 1 month ago with no response. I tried calling Premium rate tel no no answer left message - no reply. Then original vouchers and till receipts returned saying some or all of till receipts are missing but everything that was sent was clipped together and sent back to me. Where do I go from here? Email address not working?? Is this a big con?

Me and my partner collected and posted 12 vouchers to the correct address over 5 weeks ago and not received anything, we have tried to contact them with no joy at all. By the looks of it i'm not the only 1 who thinks it's a con, esso sound be ashame of themselves for ripping so many people off. My family and i will be getting our petrol from shell or any other but esso.

I have been waiting over a month for my cinema tickets, judging by everyones experience I'm not the only one who thinks this was a con by esso. next time i'll stick to Shell fuel.

I have now sent a complaint letter to Esso and will be taking it further with trading Standards. Maybe if enough of us complain to TSO then they may act.

I too have sent off my completed form to the correct address a good few weeks ago now and heard nothing. It does give you a sinking feeling in your stomach after reading the other members troubles with esso and i'm wondering what my next move should be as I have two other wallets with the correct amount of tokens with the receipts to send off.

I have read other members comments,and can say i am in the same boat.I am totally disgusted with esso.I sent my relevant tokens and receipts for 5 tickets and have had nothing back. I sent them 4 weeks ago.I have tried telephoning customer services who keep you on hold forever.
I am an esso fuelcard holder,but i will cancell this from now,and use other companies.I also will takr this further with trading standards

we have actually now recived 2 tickets and been to see WAR HORSE very good film hope to get the rest of the tickets HOPE YOU ALL GET SOME SOON ??????????????? BUT IT HAS BEEN VERY BAD ON ESSO i know someone who had all reciepts returned saying they were copys as we did wiht one lot and they were not //////////

i received 2 letters with same code so rang and was kept on hold for 25 minutes then was told there had been a computer error but would receive my tickets within days well i did only 1 though 2 weeks later i'm still waiting for other one.I asked also when i phoned if i had left a message would they have got back to me i was told there had been problems but it was now sorted but do not believe this ,they are making lots of money out of the phone calls we are all making THIS IS HOW THEY GETTING THE MONEY BACK.

Since yesterday have received my vouchers and receipts back with letter saying there is insufficent receipts well i sent 3 vouchers and 2 receipts which it states clearly on the vouchers is the right amount ,and no im not going to ring them again this is sooooooooooooo a con after all how dificult is it to count 3 and 2

Sent off for 4, with 12 vouchers and got 4 codes about 3 weeks after. After putting the codes in I have now received a letter saying I have insufficent vouchers and one reciept returned. One out of the twelve I sent! It has been unstapled and restapled to the redeeming wallet. Big con. I'm a cabbie and fill up once or twice or a week. Bad luck Esso, your loss.

I sent off for 9 tickets. Have 8 and just got code for 9th.
Will have roughly £72 worth of cinema tickets for nothing.

i have just recieved my 2nd lot of tickets after posting 2 weeks ago toady is the 30th of march they are only valid until the 31st which is tomorrow. plus i posted recipts to recieve another one mmm wonder where that is, what a scam not only are they ripping us off with the price of petrol they have conned us to fill up at thier stations with the GREAT OFFER!!!!! of free cinema tickets. never again will i use esso biggest scam goin

I agree this is a con saved and sent 3 lots of vouches got 2 codes but no tickets despite them saying within 2 days this promotion is a bit like the HOOVER promotion for airline tickets that never materialise

sent of enough vouchers and reciepts for four tickets a month ago have just had mail from esso stating that not enough reciepts . they have returned four tickets and one reciept for £38 . they have even got my name wrong . i feel robbed . i know definetly there where enough vouchers and reciepts.will now boycott esso my only response

I sent my vouchers twice, and both times they got sent back stating the recipt had already been used, or not enough petrol was purchased.

The communication from Esso is of poor quality, no headed paper, and now they have taken all the receipts and exchange it for one ticket. Someone with Esso is obviously having a good laugh on us and robbing us.

I sent off my vouchers with valid receipts in Feb and as I had not heard anything I decided to call the help line - 0844 8841964 and my call was answered straight away (I was 1st in the que). Spoke to a very helpful lady who took my name and postcode and quickly found me on the system. She hgave me my codes over the phone and I have used them online to order my tickets without any fuss. It may be that some of you have missed the email thinking it was rubbish or it may have been caught up in spam. I would advise you to call the number above. I have not yet had my tickets although I have been advised that they are posted out within a few days following the online ordering. I can not comment on people having receipts and vouchers returned etc. Perhaps you have been sending the VAT receipts or sending a normal receipt and VAT receipt for two vouchers when they relate to the same purchase. Who knows??? Just give Esso a call and discuss it with this way. Like I said, the girl I spoke to was very helpfull and dealt with me in seconds. :-)

Just to update everyone, I have now received two emails for the second lot of coupons with two lots of vouchers I sent out!! It would seem indeed that it is a lack of staff handling a mountain of correspondence that is the issue here. i only hope that I get an email for the first voucher I sent off for but then again i have not actually got the tickets yet for the two emails i recently received, that could be fun judging by other peoples experiences.
